Bloggy giveaway Pet Portrait

Ok, I'm going to try to join the blogging frenzy. I'll start with a give-a-way for the Bloggy Give-a-way Carnival. I'll create a portrait of your pet - my choice of medium - either pencil sketch, water color, oil, acrylic or a combo. I'll let you do the framing. This is for U.S. only. Leave a comment about your pet. Make sure to leave a way to get in touch with you. The winner will need to email me a picture of their pet with information about it's habits and personality.

Giveaway will close on Saturday evening. Winner will be drawn by random number generator and announced on Sunday afternoon.

Here are a few of my sketches and paintings.

The pet I have in mind is Morris. He has passed away but he was one big, cool orange cat that loved everyone and made a lasting impression on all of us. I think my mother would love to have a painting of Morris to remind her of all the love we all shared.

Annabelle is a chiuahua not like many other. She is white with black spots. People ALWAY mistake her for a dalmation puppy! She is very social and often finds herself in trouble for not being a good listner and going and visiting neighbors when she was told not too! All the kids and adults on the block adore her as do the other dogs big and small. She is a wonderful character!
Thanks for the entry :)

I have a Great Pyrenees/Lab that showed up at my parents house with puppies (they kept a puppy) very sick and my parents got her all the vet care she needed and my hubby and I took her in and nursed her back to health. She is now a very healthy happy dog that we love to death! She is such a sweetie! Her "birthday" is Aug. 9th so she really needs this hehe.

Also beautiful art work!!

DH rescued an abused pitbull and had him almost 10 years. The dog got cancer and died last year. I have a pic of him with my husband, and this would be a nice gift for DH to remember his favorite dog.

We have 2 cats a mother & daughter combo. Blackjack the mother is my oldest daughters who's a bobtail cat and black & white. She was a present to my daughter on her 21st B-day hence the name. The other cat is my baby Karma a longer haired white cat with a large black oval on her side and a full black tail. She is totally adorable and is really good with small children. But she does get mad at me when I dress her in dog outfits. LOL
Blackjack's nickname is Mama Jack and shes getting ready to have her final litter and then she'll be fixed like Karma. We're allow her to have 1 last litter so a very sick little boy can have one of her bob tailed kittens. He had 1 that had to be put down due to his head being stepped on. The little boy has cancer and has been bed ridden for several years and is still in the hospital awaiting a heart transplant. So when he finally gets to come home we will take the kittens over for him to pick out which one he wants

I have two dogs, if I win, I would let you pick which one you would prefer to do the portrait.

Rocky is a two year old 45lb mutt, who thinks he is a lap dog. He is silly and funny, and loves to be the center of attention.

Bouncy Bear is a 10 year old Chow mix, she is gorgeous and regal and stubborn, and seems to think that she is a prima donna.

Thanks for the wonderful give-a-way.

Thanks for offering

My Keeshond, Wizzy, is a nut. He is a very intelligent dog with the most expressive eyes. He also is the biggest chicken ever. He is scared of water, the sound of crunching leaves, and my exercise ball.

What a neat giveaway. I'm not sure which pet to tell you about, Bam Bam, the Blue & Gold Macaw, Pebbles, the cat, Caleb, the Basset Hound or Taz, the turtle. LOL

I will tell you the most recent thing that happened. This morning hubby was having a banana and for some ODD reason, Caleb our Basset Hound wanted the banana peel so bad so we gave it to him and he had at it, just tearing it to shreds LOL

Weird dog!

We love our pets

Goldie, our yellow lab is full of fun. She's almost 3 years old and full of energy and silliness. She's a happy dog, she really wants to be a lap dog and loves to snuggle.

My crazy cat, Kennedy, is always surprising me! There are days when he's a complete space cadet, and others that he does something so smart, I wonder if he's really a cat. And then there are the days when he eats green beans off the floor. But I love him to pieces! :)

Thank you for this great contest!

My Harvey adobted us.He was a stray that was living in and around our condos. One of our neighbors would put food out for the strays one would leave a water faucet on a trickle so they could drink. It was later summer eairly fall and Harvey decided to adopt us. I was unloading our car in the attacvhed garage with ithe overhead door open when I came back out there he was with this look as if to say,I'm staying here!
I told himhe would have to take that up with everybody inside (the three other Cats and of course Celestine. she agreed and the cats agreed so we took hin=m to the vet's just to make sure that he would not make the others sick.He was given a clean bill of health. So he joined our family.

My loyal friend, Reginald Wallace (nicknamed - Reggie Roo) is everything a dog should be.

He's a loyal friend (as long as he gets to eat White Castle Hamburgers regularly). He's my protector (he captures waterbugs and brings them to my feet). When I cry, he comes and sits next and tries to make the world better with his large snout.

What beautiful work you do!
Our sweet "Woody" passed away July 20th at 5 years old. He was a Boykin Spaniel who was as loving as he could be! We also lost our beloved "Rudy" (black cat with a touch of white under his chin) this year. So if we're picked, you could decide which, if not a pick with both together. =)

Your artwork is so dreamy and romantic! I have 2 Chihuahuas and 2 Pekingese. They are very jealous of each other and would likely gang up on the one chosen for a portrait,so I would love to have a portrait of my purple Siamese fighting fish,Evander!!

Oh am I too late?? I just found out about your giveaway. Please count me in! First, your art is beautiful. My dear Peanut is 18 years old - you read that right. Late last week, she lost her sight completely and is deaf. Yesterday, she had a determination that made me know - she's back. Venturing around, eating again, wagging her tail. She is a treasure - my precious friend. Thanks for this generous giveaway!!

I'm owned by a Jack Russell who thinks she's a person. She loves watching tv and playing outside. Her favorite foods are chicken and fruit (except bananas). She also loves a double cheesburger or ice cream once in a while. I think she has some cat in her because she is really calm and laid-back until you say "Where's your ball?" or when you point your finger at her. She hates being pointed at. She also thinks our dwarf hamsters are her babies. God must have sent this dog to me because I feel so much love for her and also from her. She loves me no matter what and is happier to see me when I come home than my people are.
I love that dog!! Yes I do!!

OBVIOUSLY you don't watch tv and NEVER have and you must listen to only classical music. ;-) (I'm teasing of course.) Thanks for stopping by my blog. :o)

You can try a very interesting experiment:- Just upload a photo of your family, friend, partner or colleague, (or perhaps, if you're feeling really naughty, even an enemy) then wait until it's edited. Then show him/her the result ... See that reaction!! Believe me, this'll be one GREAT surprise!!
